Kangra Weather

Kangra experiences cool climate throughout out the year and, as a result, the conditions in this region remain favourable most of the time, though winters can be too cold due to snowfall.

Summer

(March to June): The summer season starts here in the month of March and lasts till June. Maximum temperature recorded here during summers is 38C, while the minimum temperature stands at 22C. It is the perfect time for tourists to undertake trekking and explore the region.

Monsoon

(July to September): Monsoons in Kangra start in the month of July and end in September. The city experiences heavy rainfall during these months and, thus, visitors can enjoy views of lush green surroundings in this period.

Winter

(December to February): In Kangra, the winter season starts in the month of December and lasts till February. The maximum and minimum temperatures during the season have been recorded at 20˚C and 4˚C, respectively. Regular snowfall during the winters can cause the temperature to go down even further.
