Jowai Weather

The winter months and the summer months are the best time to visit Jowai. During the winters, tourists however need to be adequately prepared with woollens. Travelling during the winters and the summers are very comfortable as the roads are generally clear. It is also a good time for trekking. 

Summer

Summers in Jowai are not very hot since Jowai is located on a plateau. The summer months here are from March to May. The temperature rarely goes beyond 22 degrees Celsius. However during the night time, the temperature can suddenly dip making it quite cold. Thus tourists are always advised to carry woollens with them. 

Monsoon

Monsoons are part and parcel of Jowai. Monsoons come in early by the end of May and lasts for several months, sometimes till October too. Due to the heavy rainfall, the entire countryside turns green making it a treat for the eyes. However, the side effect of the rain is that it disrupts movement. 

Winter

Winter sets in by November and lasts till the end of February. Winters are generally dry with slight showers now and then. The lowest temperature one can expect here is 4 degrees Celsius. The mornings are bright and sunny during the winters while the nights are chilly.
