Special Trains Run Between Yeshwantpur and Dhanbad, and Bengaluru–Malda Town to Alleviate Holiday Traffic

South Western Railway is running special trains to manage the heavy passenger traffic during Holi and the upcoming summer season. These special services will operate between Yeshwantpur and Dhanbad, and also between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal and Malda Town.

Yeshwantpur-Dhanbad Weekly Express

Train No. 06563 Yeshwantpur-Dhanbad Weekly Express Special will leave Yeshwantpur at 7:30 a.m. every Saturday from February 21 to April 25. It will reach Dhanbad at 10:15 a.m. on Monday. On the return journey, Train No. 06564 will depart from Dhanbad at 8:45 p.m. every Monday from February 23 to April 27 and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Major Stoppages

This train will stop at several stations in both directions, including Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Anantapur, Gooty, Dhone, Kurnool City, Mahabubnagar, Kacheguda, Kazipet, Ramagundam, Balharshah, Nagpur, Itarsi, Pipariya, Narsinghpur, Madan Mahal, Katni, Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Bhabua Road, Sasaram, Anugrah Narayan Road, Gaya Junction, Koderma, Hazaribagh Road, Parasnath, and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Gomoh. The train will have 21 coaches, including AC three-tier, sleeper class, general second class, and SLR/D coaches.

Special Service Between Bengaluru and Malda Town

Another special service, Train No. 06565, will run between SMVT Bengaluru and Malda Town. It will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 11:40 p.m. every Sunday from February 22 to 25 and reach Malda Town at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The return train, No. 06566, will depart from Malda Town at 4:00 p.m. every Wednesday from February 25 to March 11 and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.

Major Stops

This train will stop at major stations such as Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Kharagpur, Barddhaman, Bolpur (Shantiniketan), and New Farakka. It will have 20 coaches, including first AC, AC two-tier, AC three-tier, sleeper class, general second class, and SLR/D coaches.
