Chandigarh is all set to welcome visitors to the 53rd Rose Festival, a three-day event. This year, the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MC Chandigarh) is organizing the festival on a zero-budget basis, making it the first of its kind in the history of the Rose Festival. All events, stalls, and entertainment programs have been fully sponsored, allowing the festival to take place without government expenses.
MC Commissioner Amit Kumar shared that special arrangements have been made to make the festival enjoyable for everyone. The festival will be inaugurated by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria, who will open the event with a grand ceremony featuring drum beats, band performances, folk dances, and traditional art displays from different states.
A Celebration of Culture and Flowers
Visitors will have a chance to explore informative stalls set up by MC Chandigarh, interact with self-help groups, and shop at the open market. A special game zone will be available for children, and a food court will serve delicious local and international dishes.
One of the most anticipated parts of the festival is the three cultural evenings, where famous artists from across India will perform. The cut flower and bonsai competitions will also continue this year, allowing gardening enthusiasts to showcase their talent.
