Gayatri Jalashaya, Chitradurga

Gayatri Jalashaya is a reservoir built by the King of Mysore across the river Suvarnamukhi. The reservoir provides water to the nearby villages. Though it is not a popular tourist destination, it is a calm place to visit with your loved ones. The area is ideal for cycling. It is a pleasant picnic spot for weekends.
