The best time to visit Bhadrachalam is from October to February when the temperature is at an all time low. The heat from the sun is warm making the afternoons tolerable. During the evenings, cool breeze starts to blow making it rather pleasant to go sightseeing and to travel. Many tourists prefer coming to the place during the winter season.
Summer in the town begins towards the end of February and goes on until the end of May. The maximum temperature during these months can be as high as 40 degrees Celsius. The summers are exceedingly hot, and the scorching sun makes it impossible to travel and go sightseeing during these months.
The place receives moderate to heavy rainfall between the months of June and September. Light showers are also experienced in the month of October. The temperature does come down to about 32 degrees Celsius during the rainy season. However, it is still not a good idea to visit Bhadrachalam during the monsoons.
Winter typically starts towards the end of November and continues until the middle of February. The temperature comes down to a pleasant 27 degrees Celsius, but it never becomes chilly even in the month of January. The afternoons are warm though the evenings tend to be pleasant. At night one may require a light shawl or a jacket.
