Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary, National Parks in Assam

The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary derives its name from the hot springs found in the place. The Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Karbi Anglong District. It is a very small sanctuary covering an area of 6.05 km.

Apart from the hot springs, there are several waterfalls found in the sanctuary. Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Hillock gibbons and Golden langurs. Several other kinds of mammals, birds and reptiles can also be found in the wildlife sanctuary.

Tigers, Elephants, Gaurs, Hornbill, Python, Cobra and Monitor lizards can be found in the Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary. Garampani Wildlife Sanctuary is located 25 km from Golaghat and 65 km from Kaziranga National Park.

The nearest airport to the wildlife sanctuary is in Dimapur in Nagaland which is located about 55 km away. The best season to visit the sanctuary is between the months of November and April.
