The charm of Ajanta Caves remains unaffected by the weather patterns. So whether it is sunny, cold or pouring, be rest assured that tourists will continue to throng the place and the zest to explore more of our historic past would never die.
The summers can be a bit scorching, with the temperature soaring to a level that may get a tad uncomfortable for tourists, especially foreigners who aren't accustomed to our climate.
The winters are much more cooler and hospitable, and a good time to walk around and explore the place. It extends from October to March.
The Ajanta Caves, however, are best enjoyed during the monsoons. The rains magically transform this place, and give a historical glow to it. The river by the caves is in full swing during this period, from July to November.
