Zunheboto Weather

If you want to escape the wet season, it is advisable to visit Zunheboto during the winters, though protection from the cold is an absolute must. However, if you want to soak in the wetness of the place, the monsoon season is the best time to visit Zunheboto.

Summer

The summers in Zunheboto are moderately warm, and the highest recorded temperature here has been 22 degrees Celsius. The summers here are not a prolonged affair here, and it stays hot only for a couple of months. Even then, it is advisable to carry light woollen always.

Monsoon

Monsoon is a prolonged affair for Zunheboto as it rains for more than nine months. The recorded rainfall here is about 200 cm every year. The heaviest rain is experienced in the months of July and August. The high altitude is the main reason for the prolonged rail fall here.

Winter

Winters get very cold in Zunheboto, and the temperature comes down to 1 degree Celsius. The winter sets in by December and lasts till February. It is very cold during December and January. It is advisable to always carry woollens while visiting Zunheboto and its neighbouring areas, especially during the winters.
