Parnera Fort, Valsad

Present atop the hill is Mount Parnera, a fort which is believed to have belonged to the founder of the Maratha Empire - Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Shivaji was always well known for his forts and was believed to have owned as many as 300 forts by the time of his death.
