Situated at an elevation of about 3962.4 mt above sea level, the highway connects four beautiful destinations namely Manali, Zanskar valley, Lahaul and Spiti valley. It is one of the roads that every traveller should take atleast once in their lifetime.

Connecting Bagdodra and Darjeeling, this road has an old world charm about it. The toy train track running parallel to the road is the major attraction here. Of course the lush greenery of the tea gardens enveloping the route is another plus. You may find yourself in the middle of a herd of cattle at several turns and the feeling is absolutely heavenly. A drive along this route is sure to make you fall in love with this place.
