With the receding monsoon, South India, especially Chennai has been receiving more rainfall over the past few days. Travellers planning to travel to Chennai, you may have to change your plans given the Chennai rains and the cyclone warning that has been issued in Tamil Nadu.

The monsoon rains in India typically begin to recede from North India at the beginning of October. During this time the south region of the country receives more rainfall. The coastal regions especially experience moderate to heavy showers.
