In the city of Dharamshala, a ropeway is being constructed to connect the two hill stations after which the distance between these two towns can be covered in just five minutes with this ropeway. It has been inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and this project cost around Rs 2 crores.
This project will not only reduce the travel time but also help tourists reach McLeodganj more easily without using vehicles or any other means of transport. The ropeway can carry 1000 people in an hour in one direction.
The ropeway can carry up to 8 people at once, making it very convenient for tourists who need to travel between Dharamshala and McLeodGanj quickly.
This great step will also reduce the pollution happening while people are traveling from Dharamshala to McLeodganj through different modes of transport which need fuel and are responsible for air pollution.
