Kenjalgad Fort is located at Wai in the Satara district at a distance of about 220 km from Mumbai and 60 km from Mahabaleshwar. It is rhomboid in shape and is settled atop Mahadev hill range at an elevation of 4269 feet.

Hence, it has become a popular trekking destination for the local tourists. However, it is still unknown amongst common tourists. As per historical records, the fort dates back to the 12th century and was constructed by a Bhoja king. By Rail: The best way to reach Kenjalgad Fort by rail is to take a train to Satara railway station and then from there, a cab to the fort. The distance between the fort and the railway station is 60 km.

By Road: Being a hill fort, you cannot access it by cab. You can easily reach the base of the fort and then from there, you need to go trekking to reach the fort.
