The Hills Festival Meghalaya, one of the most anticipated annual music, gastronomic, and cultural festivals in India, will take place in Shillong, the lovely capital of Meghalaya. The event will prepare the ground for the appearance of some of the most well-known musical groups from the nation and abroad. The two-day music festival will take place in Meghalaya on November 4 and 5, 2022, in the stunning surroundings of Umbir Village and Umiam Lake.
The festival's main goals are to support local businesses, artists, and tourists. Visitors will see a wide variety of immersive experiences over the course of these two days, many of which have been carefully selected by a group of energetic and young people.
The Hills Festival Meghalaya Theme 2022:
The festival's theme this year, "Spirit of Meghalaya," combines two important ideas: ecotourism and community empowerment.
This year's festival's debut of numerous ecological projects is one of its centerpieces. This year, in addition to providing attendees with a rich and exciting experience, the organizing team will promote the idea of being aware of one's surroundings.
The installations will be made completely of recycled and repurposed components made by regional artists and craftspeople in an effort to promote sustainability and environmental friendliness. The installations will illustrate the local folklore. On stage, a representation of the Living Root Bridge, or Jingkieng Jri as it is known locally, will be shown.

1) Witness Big artists:
Bloodywood, HanuMankind, Taba Chake, Yung Raja, Karan Kanchan, and other intriguing artists are in the program.
2) Enjoy the greatest cuisine:
Renowned Chef TZac will collaborate with regional chefs on a special menu including local wild foods from Meghalaya.
3) Be a part of an Eco-friendly festival:
The festival is entirely green. Environmentally friendly materials will be used at the site, along with RO water systems, biodegradable service ware, and waste that is recycled and upcycled.
4) Cycling and Camping:
A special cycling route will be established so that visitors can experience the picturesque surroundings of Umbir Village and Umiam Lake while being surrounded by nature. In addition, there will be cozy camping tents where guests can stay and watch the stars at night.
5) Family-friendly Festival:
A separate PlayCare area has been built up specifically for the care of young children, so the festival will also be family-friendly.
