Programs like Durga Saptashati Paath, Akhand Ramayan Paath, and Bhajan Kirtan will take place at these temples, enriching the spiritual atmosphere for devotees and visitors alike.
In addition to regular events, special programs will be held on Ashtami (the eighth day of Navratri) and Navami (the ninth day). These two days are considered highly auspicious in Hindu culture and are expected to draw large crowds. The government has allocated funds for these events, ensuring they are organized smoothly and successfully.
Folk Artists and Cultural Performances
To make the celebrations more engaging and culturally vibrant, folk artists, Bhajan Mandalis, and Kirtan Mandalis will be invited to perform at various temples. A committee, led by the District Magistrate and coordinated by the Culture Department and the Department of Information and Public Relations, will select these performers. The goal is to provide an immersive experience for the devotees while preserving and promoting traditional art forms.
Women's Safety and Mission Shakti
Navratri also brings a focus on women's safety through the Uttar Pradesh government's "Mission Shakti" campaign. The campaign aims to ensure the safety and empowerment of women during the festival, with special programs planned across the state. Given the large number of devotees and tourists expected, security measures will be intensified, especially around temples and during events.
