Jamshedpur is among the famous industrial cities in India and was founded by the late Jamshedji Nusserwanji Tata. The city is known for its various steel plants and is also called Tatanagar.

Jubilee Park
The Jubilee Park is a vast garden with many flower beds and illuminated fountains. This park was established by the Tata Steel Company to commemorate its Golden Jubilee. Tourists coming here can walk through the park and enjoy the illuminated fountain show in the evening. It is a perfect place to go with your family in the evening.

Sir Dorabji Tata Park
Sir Dorabji Tata Park is a well-maintained garden built in memory of Jamshedji Tata's eldest son. The park has many varieties of flowers that are grown here. It is known to host a flower show every year. Tourists come from far and wide to be a part of the flower show that renders vivid hues to the entire place.

Tata Steel Zoological Park
The Tata Steel Zoological Park is established at the confluence of Kharkai river and Suvarnarekha river. Tourists coming here can view various species of animals and birds and also have a picnic in the natural surroundings. You can also go on a boat ride across the river. The zoo is visited by many migratory birds during the winter and attracts bird lovers.

Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary
The Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Dalma Mountain Range that is at an altitude of 914.4 mt above sea level. It houses many animals like elephants, barking deer, sloth beer, porcupines, leopard and tigers to name a few. It is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts who come here to capture a glimpse of these animals.

How to Reach Jamshedpur
By Air: Jamshedpur has a small airport called the Sonari Airport and is primarily used for bringing in chartered aircrafts of the Tata Group. The nearest domestic airport is Ranchi (128 km) and for international flights; Kolkata (286 km).
By Train: Jamshedpur Railway Station, also known as Tatanagar Railway Station is the most important junction of the state and is the second busiest station of South Eastern Railway after Howrah. The city is well-connected to all the major cities of India like Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Nagpur, Bhubaneshwar and Pune.
By Road: Jamshedpur is connected to other parts of India by national and state highways. The major highways are NH-33 that connects to Mumbai and Delhi. The NH-6 connects to Kharagpur and Kolkata. For local transport, commuters have the options of bus and auto rikshaw.
