The small adventurous trekking brings you to the picturesque waterfalls that hum a soul-soothing melody of its own.

The cascade is an epitome of nature's magical touch and offers a glimpse of Shivalik Range. The rustic charm of Mussoorie fused with the splendid cascading Jharipani Falls will offer you a relaxing experience.

One can also catch a glimpse of varied species of beautiful wildflowers, shrubs and creepers that are abundantly found close by to the waterfall. Since, it is one of the less explored attractions in Mussoorie, the place is not very crowded. It is serene, untouched and beautiful.

It is an ideal spot for adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. You can witness enthralling views of the farming lands and Doon valley from the other side of the Jharipani falls. In the past couple of years, the area around is developed and several food outlets are available for the public.

How To Reach Jharipani

By air: The nearest airport to Mussoorie is jolly grant airport in Dehradun that is about 55 km away. There are daily flights from New Delhi.

By train: A number of trains connect Dehradun with New Delhi such as The Mussoorie Express, The Nizamuddin AC Special and Shatabdi Express. The train journey is about 5.5 hours.

By road: Mussoorie is linked well with an excellent network of bus services from various places. This includes both state transport corporations and private operators. Moreover, as Mussoorie is in close proximity to the capital of Uttarakhand (Dehradun), the accessibility is quite good.

Although it is an artificial waterbody, the lake is surreal and you can get the best panorama of the Doon Valley from here. The lake is open on all days of the week throughout the year.

Lal Tibba is about 6 km from Mussoorie and is perched on top of Depot Hill. Untouched and pristine, it is the highest point and offers a stunning panorama of the Himalayan mountain ranges. It has some old hill houses built in British architectural style. One can reach Lal Tibba by foot or by hiring a cab.

This art centre is on the Chamunda Peeth Temple Road and showcases the tradition and culture of Himalayas through murals, scrap art, frescoes, sculptures and paintings. The place is often visited by architecture and media students. Heritage walks and occasional workshops are conducted at the centre. A tiny souvenir corner here sells antique products including utensils, jewellery, agricultural equipment and musical instruments. It is open from 10 am to 5 pm with a lunch break from 2 pm to 3 pm. It is closed on Wednesdays.

This is the second highest peak in Mussoorie and is known for its panoramic surroundings. The hill is covered in a thin blanket of haze all through the year. If you want to experience the aerial views of the Himalayan ranges - Shrikanta, Bunderpunch, Pithwara and the enchanting vistas of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley then a cable car ride is just apt. The ride on the cable car offers one of the richest and riveting experiences of the Himalayan region.
