Every year, Faridabad in Haryana turns into a kaleidoscope of colors and rhythmic beats as the Surajkund International Craft Mela unfolds in February. This cultural extravaganza proudly showcases India's rich traditions, drawing a diverse crowd of over a million visitors, including enthusiastic international tourists. It stands as a vibrant testament to the country's folk traditions and cultural abundance.

Organized meticulously by the Surajkund Mela Authority, with strong support from various ministries such as Haryana Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism, the Ministry of Textiles, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of External Affairs, this collaborative effort ensures a seamless blend of traditional crafts, cultural heritage, and entertainment for all.

As the sun sets, the main amphitheater transforms into a stage for enchanting cultural programs, adding an extra layer of festivity to the surroundings.

More than just a spectacle, the Mela serves as a guardian of traditional crafts, preserving skills at risk of fading away in the era of machine-made imitations. A dedicated section is allocated to showcase these heritage crafts, ensuring their continued recognition.
