The local residents of this mesmerising town are the members of Aka tribe who are quite friendly. Every year in the month of January, members of this tribe celebrate their annual and most important festival, Neythidow. Neythidow is celebrated by with great zeal and zest which depicts the Aka Tribe's custom, tradition, and lifestyle.

By Air: You can take a direct flight to Tezpur Airport, which is located at a distance of about 55 km from Bhalukpong. Once you have reached the airport, you can hire a cab to Bhalukpong.
By Rail: As Bhalukpong doesn't have its own railway station, you can catch a train to Rangapara railway station, which is situated at a distance of 45 km. From the station, you can either hire a cab or catch a bus to Bhalukpong.
By Road: Bhalukpong is well connected to nearby cities and towns by road. As the roads are in proper condition, it is easily accessible.
