Planning a unique adventure trip that is way different than what others might opt for? Is wildlife adventure your call? Then the place to head to this monsoon is to the Sundarbans. The national park is home to many a wild animals and birds and is also the house of the Royal Bengal Tiger.
Divided between India and Bangladesh, the Sundarbans mangrove is a large area of protected land. Although a large part of the national park is in Bangladesh, one third of it is located in India and is a major choice for tourists. Take a journey here for the memories that you take home will remain with you for a life time.
The whole area is declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Sunderbans mangrove is the largest protected area and is spread over an area of 4200 square kilometers. The Indian tiger reserve, protects the wild tigers that face extinction due to encroaching and poaching by humans, is situated here. The best time to be here is during the monsoon when the mangrove forests are lush green and provide enough covering for the animals to hide.
