A new smartphone app called "DMRC TRAVEL" was just released by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) that enables users to purchase mobile QR tickets for metro journeys. This creative move aims to improve the metro system's comfort and effectiveness while giving commuters a seamless travel experience.
The app was officially introduced by Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD of DMRC, today, July 3, at the organization's Metro Bhawan headquarters.
Payment modes:
Newly launched "DMRC TRAVEL" application provides multiple payment options, including:
- UPI,
- Credit/Debit cards, and
- Wallets, giving users flexibility and convenience
By choosing their preferred payment option within the app, users may easily finish the transaction.

Where to download:
A variety of customers will be able to enjoy the convenience of mobile QR ticketing with the launch of the "DMRC TRAVEL" App on the Android and IOS platforms, respectively. Please note for IOS users, it will come soon in operation.
Then, passengers can explore the app's capabilities and advantages by downloading it from their respective app stores.
How it will work?
Download & install the application for booking or buying a ticket. Follow the instructions and create a profile. Click on the necessary details, such as the origin station, after choosing the 'Buy ticket' option.
There will be a number of choices for the information presented, including the number of tickets, the cost, and the length of the trip. The QR ticket will be generated once you have finished the process and made your payment by your preferred payment mode.

In addition, the application offers user-focused features like:
- A travel planner,
- Fare calculator,
- Station information, and
- Smart card recharging
Along the route from point A to point B, the application also shows the locations of interchange stations.
