The grand parade of 33 tuskers is the highlight of Chinakkathoor Pooram in Kerala. However, this year effigies of elephants were also used along with the real ones. The traditional orchestra Panchavadyam and the procession of art forms like Theyyam, Kaalavela, Kuthiravela, etc. enthrall the audience.

Other highlights of this festival are the puppet show, Tholppavakoothu and the procession of Kuthira (horse) and the Kaala (bull) models. Overall, this annual extravaganza is celebrated with all the fun and fervour.
