Lal Bagh botanical garden is one of the main tourist attractions in Bangalore. This botanical garden has India's largest collection of tropical plants! The park has rare species of plants brought from Persia, Afghanistan and France. The aesthetic design of the garden with lawns, flowerbeds, lotus pools and fountains, make it a spectacular beauty to cherish! It is also a home to the famous glass house which hosts two annual flower shows (26th of January and 15th of August).

Picturesque lake of Lal Bhag is another highlight in this garden. Apart from these, there are many more things to do in Lal Bhag! Adding to over 1000 or more species of flora, the garden also has trees that are over 100 years old. The Lalbagh rock found in the garden dates back to 3000 million years and is one of the oldest rock formations on earth. The Kempegowda tower over the neighbouring hillock gives the full view of Bangalore from the top.

Lal Bhag botanical garden in Bangalore is undoubtedly one of the must visit places in Bangalore. Lalbagh remains open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. throughout the year. Entry : For the benefit of joggers, tourists and fitness enthusiasts, entry is free from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At other times, a fee of Rs.20/- is charged. Entry for school children and the disabled is free all day.
