Bored of the cacaphonic life and are you looking out for a life away from people? Well, that may be an impossible thing but escaping into the belly of Diu may do justice to your cluttered thoughts.
Diu, an underrated place; is an amazing escape route to cut through the baloney of the world. As the proverb goes, "Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder", every place has a beautiful epiphany to it.

Like Goa, Diu also offers a choice on availing two-wheelers to explore the place around. You may explore this once Portugese colony and ride to your heart's content without the fear of any mishap. What can be as joyous as letting the rider in you feel alive again?

Gomati Mata Beach
Have you ever longed to be all alone on a beach without any crowd? Gomati Mata beach is a great place if you are longing for solace. You may not find a single soul sometimes for miles together and on a beach, it is a Wow! Lying down on the shore, listening to your favorite track and relaxing; Can't think of anything more.

Ghogla Beach
Looking out to explore the adventurous side of you, go para-sailing on Ghogla Beach. This is one of the major tourist attraction. Goghla beach is at a distance of 15km from Diu.This is one of the must-visit places if you are on a trip to Diu.

Naida Caves
On a bright sunny day in Diu, Naida caves won't let you down for including it on your travel agenda. The steps inside is square hewn and the branches of the tree with rays of light playing hide and seek in this place makes you happy.

Diu Fort
Though the Portugese built the fort, this place has a mind-boggling history linking to several kings of royal dynasties from India. It is said that the remains of the old fortress built by Sultan Shah Bahadur still exist at the eastern end of the island. With a spectacular view of the sea this fort is as a historical heritage of Diu.

INS Khukri
A perfect place to understand the disaster of the naval ship tank during the Indo-Pak war of 1971. This memorial is built as a tribute to the brave captain Mahendra and his crew

With age-old churches to lonely and serene beaches; exploring caves and understanding the sacrifice of true officers; Diu certainly need to be visited.
