Thiruvattar is at its best during the months of October, November, December, January and February. This is the best time to visit the place because it is neither too cold nor too hot to travel or for sightseeing. Afternoons are warm but not hot, and evenings are pleasant but never cold.
Like the other places within Kanyakumari district Thiruvattar too experiences hot and withering summers that start in March and continue right until the end of May. The temperature during summers can go up to 35 degrees Celsius and the afternoons are extremely hot. The humidity levels are also at an all time high.
The rain gods visit Thiruvattar in the month of June and stay on until the end of September. The place receives moderate to heavy rainfall, and the temperature comes down to a pleasant 25 degrees Celsius. However, the humidity levels rise because of the town’s proximity to water bodies.
Winters are very pleasant in Thiruvattar because the temperature comes down to about 20 degrees Celsius and does not go beyond 23 degrees Celsius for most part of the season. Winter typically starts towards the end of November and lasts until mid-February. Afternoons are warm, and evenings are pleasant during these months.
