The best time to visit Thiruvannamalai is during the winter months when the sun is easily tolerable even during the day. Summers in Thiruvannamalai begin in mid-February and last until the end of May. During summers, the temperature can rise to 45 degrees Celsius. This is not the ideal time to visit the place because of the scorching sun. During the daytime in summers, the humidity also tends to increase.
Monsoon begins in mid-June, and the town has some showers until the end of August. However, the rains do not make much of an impact on the weather of Thiruvannamalai.
