The best season to travel to Shivpuri is between the months of October and March. The summer months should definitely be avoided as the temperatures soar very high, but the Tiger Safari is best experienced during summers. The Monsoons, however, might be pleasant if the itinerary includes the waterfalls and the lakes.
Shivpuri, located in Madhya Pradesh sees a lot of dry, warm climate during summer. The dense vegetation, the numerous waterfalls, bird sanctuaries and lakes however provide welcome relief from the scorching sun. The highest temperatures are recorded during June, reaching up to 42 degree Celsius.
Monsoon stretches from July right into October. Monsoons are the best season to visit the numerous waterfalls and lakes in and around Shivpuri. While temperatures hover in the upper 20’s on the Celsius scale, the weather is pleasant with light showers. The monsoons are however not a good time to visit the Madhav National Park.
Winters in Madhya Pradesh are relatively cool with temperatures ranging from 28 degrees to 15 degrees. The weather is cool and dry and maybe the most comfortable season to visit. The season might not be the most appropriate time, however to visit the water bodies in the area as the water level reduces significantly.
