Kaziranga is renowned for hosting two-thirds of the world’s Indian rhinoceroses. The rhino population here is closely monitored, with the latest census reporting 2,613 rhinos. Apart from rhinos, the park is home to large breeding populations of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer.
