World’s Tallest Temple for Maa Umiya Is Coming to Ahmedabad — Bigger Than Ram Mandir!

A new spiritual landmark is being built in Ahmedabad. A 504-foot-high temple dedicated to Maa Umiya is under construction near Vaishnodevi Circle on Jaspur Road. Once completed, this will be the tallest temple in the world. Its design will blend Indo-German architecture and offer a peaceful yet modern experience to visitors from all over the world.

World s Tallest Temple in Ahmedabad

Unique Architecture and Modern Facilities

The main shrine will be 100 feet high and made from traditional stone. To help everyone access the temple easily, 15 lifts and 12 escalators will be included. There will also be travelators and charging stations for electric vehicles in the parking area. These additions aim to provide a smooth and comfortable visit for all, including the elderly and differently-abled.

R.P. Patel, President of Vishva Umiya Dham, said that the temple will also have special lighting arrangements. "The city's residents will know which festival or date it is just by looking at the lights," he said.

Massive Use of Materials and Technology

This huge temple is being built using 60,000 tons of cement, 1.5 lakh cubic meters of concrete, and 36,500 tons of steel. For the stone-built section at a height of 100 feet, 11,500 tons of steel will be used. The flag atop the spire will be raised using hydraulic technology. Lighting systems are also being carefully planned to allow for easy cleaning and upkeep.

When completed, the temple will be more than twice the height of Delhi's Qutub Minar (238 feet) and will be Gujarat's second tallest structure after the Statue of Unity (597 feet).

Shri Yantra and Spacious Design

The temple will house the world's largest Shri Yantra, measuring 90 by 90 feet and installed at a height of 15 feet. The temple's base will be about twice as large as the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. It will spread over 1.80 lakh square feet, making it 85,000 square feet bigger than the Ram Mandir.

Parking and Safety Arrangements

The basement of the temple will offer parking for 2,500 cars and ten luxury buses. The materials used include 65,000 square meters of white marble, 15,000 square meters of granite, and an extra 45,000 cubic feet of marble for the main deity's shrine.

The temple will have the capacity to hold 10,000 people at a time. In case of an emergency, the complex can be evacuated within ten minutes through twelve staircases placed in all four directions.

This temple promises to become a grand symbol of faith, design, and modern infrastructure in Gujarat.
