Indian Railways has announced a special train service between Visakhapatnam and New Delhi to handle the passenger rush. The new service aims to make travel more convenient for people travelling between Andhra Pradesh and the national capital.

Visakhapatnam-New Delhi Special Train
According to the railway announcement, the special train from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi, Train No. 08517, will run on May 22. The return train, Train No. 08518, from New Delhi to Visakhapatnam, is scheduled to operate on May 26.
Important Stoppages
The train will stop at many major stations in both directions. These include Vizianagaram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Kesinga, Titlagarh, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Anuppur, Shahdol, Katni Junction, Satna Junction, Prayagraj, and Govindpuri.
How will this Train Benefit Passengers?
This special train is expected to help passengers during the busy summer travel season by offering additional seats and better connectivity. The service will also improve travel options for passengers travelling through several important stations on the route.
Railways introduced this special train mainly because regular trains on this route experience very high demand during holiday and vacation periods. The additional trains will give passengers more travel choices, especially when regular trains are fully booked or have long waiting lists.
Another major advantage of these trains is improved connectivity between large cities and smaller towns. Passengers from smaller stations along the route will be able to travel more easily without changing multiple trains. The direct connectivity to Delhi will especially benefit travellers from remote and smaller towns.
