Indian Railways has announced that it will continue operating special train services between SMVT Bengaluru and Bidar for 34 trips after passengers asked for the extension. These special trains were originally scheduled to run only until late December, but due to ongoing demand, they will now run until the end

of February 2026.
Two Trains to Run from Bengaluru
The two trains involved are Train No. 06539, which runs from SMVT Bengaluru to Bidar, and Train No. 06540, which runs from Bidar to SMVT Bengaluru. Both trains operate on a bi-weekly schedule. Under the new plan, Train 06539 will continue to run every Friday and Sunday until February 27, 2026, giving 17 extra trips. Similarly, Train 06540 will run every Saturday and Monday until February 28, 2026, also adding 17 trips. Together, these amount to 34 additional journeys for the special service.
There will be no changes to the train composition or the stations where the trains stop. The special trains will continue to halt at three stations in the Solapur Division of Central Railway, Kalaburagi, Shahabad, and Wadi, just as before.
Booking of Tickets
Tickets for these extended special runs can be booked in advance. Reserved seats are available for purchase at all computerized reservation centres and online through the official railway booking website. Unreserved coach tickets can be bought at station counters or through the UTS app on mobile phones. Passengers are reminded to travel with a valid ticket to avoid any inconvenience during their journey.
This extension reflects Indian Railways' effort to support travellers during busy periods by providing extra connectivity between Bengaluru and Bidar. It helps passengers who might otherwise struggle to find seats on regular services, especially on weekends and holidays when travel demand is higher.
