Namma Metro's 7th Train to Start Service

According to sources from the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), the newly arrived train will be added to passenger service in early January. Before this, it will undergo all required inspections, safety checks, and trial runs to ensure smooth and safe operations. The train sets are being supplied by Kolkata-based Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL). The seventh train was dispatched on December 10 and transported to Bengaluru using large trailers.

Namma Metro's Sixth Train Undergoing Tests

Officials also shared an update on the sixth train set. It is currently undergoing different tests and is expected to start carrying passengers from December 22. Moreover, TRSL is likely to send the eighth train set to Bengaluru by the end of this month.

Yellow Line to Upgrade Operations

With a total fleet of eight trains, BMRCL officials said the Yellow Line will be able to run trains more frequently during peak hours. The expected waiting time between two trains during busy hours will be around eight to ten minutes. This shorter gap is expected to make travel easier and more comfortable for daily commuters, especially during morning and evening rush hours.

Namma Metro's Yellow Line

The Yellow Line covers a distance of 19.15 kilometres and connects R.V. Road to Bommasandra. It was inaugurated on August 10 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and opened to the public for regular operations the next day. This metro line is very important for the city as it connects the southern parts of Bengaluru with major employment areas, including the Electronics City industrial hub. By linking these areas to the larger Namma Metro network, the Yellow Line helps reduce travel time, ease traffic congestion, and offer a reliable public transport option for thousands of commuters every day.
