Greater Noida Authority Unveils Final Routes for Game-Changing Multimodal Transport and Logistics Hubs

The Greater Noida Authority has approved the final routes for two major upcoming projects, the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) and the Multimodal Logistics Hub (MMLH). These projects are expected to improve both travel and freight movement in the region. The MMLH, planned over 311 hectares, is one of the key

projects of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. It will include warehouses, cold-storage units, container yards, offices, and truck terminals, creating a single, efficient logistics centre for industries.

Multimodal Transport Hub

The MMTH, spreading across 117 hectares, will bring several transport services into one large complex. It will include an interstate bus terminal, a local bus terminal, a metro station, and a full railway station, making it a central interchange for passengers. With the alignments finalised, both projects will now be added to the Master Plan 2041. This will help create dedicated metro links and freight railway lines that officials say will change the way people travel and how goods move across the region.

Elevated Metro to Connect Greater Noida Depot & Multimodal Transport Hub

The decisions were approved during the Authority's 141st board meeting, chaired by Noida-Greater Noida chairman Deepak Kumar. The board also approved a 1.8 km elevated metro stretch connecting the upcoming Greater Noida Depot to the MMTH at Bodaki. This route will run along a 105-metre-wide road and act as the final connection point for what is expected to be one of NCR's biggest passenger hubs. Once the MMTH becomes operational, many long-distance east-bound trains going towards Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and West Bengal are likely to start from this new terminal, which will reduce crowding at major Delhi stations.

Multimodal Transport Hub's Zones

The MMTH will have two zones: one for road transport and commercial spaces, and another for the railway station and related facilities. It will sit along the Delhi-Howrah rail line and connect to major roads linking Knowledge Park I, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and NH-34.

The board has also approved a new 3 km railway track to connect the MMLH in Dadri to the Dedicated Freight Corridor. This link will speed up cargo movement and attract more logistics businesses. A global tender has already been issued to select a developer for the MMLH.
