South Western Railway has announced that passengers travelling through Bengaluru on June 7 and June 8 may face train diversions, skipped stops, and delays because of engineering work between Krishnarajapuram and Whitefield Panel Cabin. Due to the work, several important trains, including Vande Bharat, Shatabdi, and Superfast services, will run

on alternate routes. Many trains will not stop at stations such as Krishnarajapuram and Whitefield during this period.
List of Trains to be Affected
• Train No. 16526 KSR Bengaluru-Kanniyakumari Express, leaving on June 7 at 8.10 PM, will run through Bengaluru Cantonment, Baiyyappanahalli, Hosur, Dharmavaram, and Salem. It will skip stations like Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Malur, Bangarapet, and Kuppam.
• Train No. 16219 Chamarajanagar-Tirupati Express will also run on a different route and skip stations including Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarapet, Katpadi, and Chittoor.
• The Vande Bharat Express services between Bengaluru and Kerala or Chennai will also be affected. Train No. 26652 Ernakulam Junction-KSR Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express will skip Krishnarajapuram while running through Salem and Hosur.
• Other trains such as the Coimbatore-Nizamuddin Kongu Superfast Express, Chennai Central-Hubballi Superfast Express, Chennai Central-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express, Lalbagh Express, and Shatabdi Express will also operate on diverted routes and skip some Bengaluru-area stations.
• The SMVT Bengaluru-Malda Special train will take a longer diverted route through Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Vijayawada, and Guntur, skipping many regular stations.
• Railway officials have also announced schedule changes for June 8. The KSR Bengaluru-Ernakulam Junction Vande Bharat Express and several Chennai-bound trains will be diverted and skip Krishnarajapuram and Whitefield.
• Some trains will also be delayed. The Chennai Central-Asokhapuram Kaveri Express will depart two hours late, while the Ernakulam Junction-SMVT Bengaluru Superfast Express will run about one hour and 40 minutes behind schedule. The Kanniyakumari-KSR Bengaluru Express may also face delays during its journey.

South Western Railway has advised passengers to check updated train timings and routes before starting their journey, as the engineering work may affect rail movement across major Bengaluru routes.
