At least 20 coaches of the Sabarmati Express derailed between Kanpur and Bhimsen station in Uttar Pradesh at 2:30 am on Saturday, according to a Railway Board official. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.

The loco pilot mentioned that a boulder struck the engine's cattle guard, causing severe damage. This incident led to significant disruptions in train services.
Train Services Affected
Due to the derailment, seven trains have been cancelled and three others diverted. The Railways is working to manage the situation and ensure passenger safety.
Shashi Kant Tripathi, Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) of the North Central Railway Zone, stated that buses were arranged to transport passengers from the accident site to Kanpur Railway Station. Additionally, an eight-coach MEMU train was dispatched from Kanpur to bring passengers back for further travel arrangements.
