The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has predicted heavy rainfall in a few places in Tamil Nadu, especially in the Virudhunagar, Dindigul, and Theni districts, on Monday. According to sources, some areas may also receive light to moderate rain. Thunderstorms and lightning could accompany these showers in parts of the Western

Ghats and southern Tamil Nadu. However, most other regions of Tamil Nadu, along with Puducherry and Karaikal, are expected to experience dry weather.
Tamil Nadu Rain Alert
For Tuesday, the RMC has forecast light rain in a few isolated places, along with thunderstorms and lightning in parts of coastal Tamil Nadu, as well as in Puducherry and Karaikal.
Tamil Nadu's Weather in Hill Stations
In terms of temperature, the hill regions such as Coimbatore and the Nilgiris have been experiencing cooler weather than usual, while the rest of Tamil Nadu has temperatures close to normal. Kodaikanal recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the hill areas at 11.7°C between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Meanwhile, Salem reported a minimum temperature of 23.1°C.
Rainfall data shows that Nilakottai in Dindigul received about 3.1 cm of rain between Sunday morning and early Monday. Other areas, including Bodinayakanur in Theni, Kamudhi in Ramanathapuram, and hill stations such as Ooty and Coonoor, also experienced light rainfall during this period.
