Hearing about Pune, Maharashtra a lot in news nowadays? Right? Ramila Latpate from Chinchwad, Pune is making Pune proud. Ramila Latpate, a 27-year-old Pune lady, embarked on a motorcycle adventure around the world wearing a Maharashtrian Nauvari Saree in an effort to showcase Indian culture, particularly Maharashtrian culture.
She intends to visit around 100,000 kilometers via 20 to 30 countries before returning to India on March 8, 2024, following a year of travel. According to Ramila Latpte, she plans to promote various parts of Maharashtra's culture by presenting the state's unique products. In addition to travelling, she plans to preserve & promote Indian culture in each place she visits.
Who is Behind Her inspiration:
Ramabai stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech has motivated her. PM Modi stated in his G20 speech that women in India are reaching remarkable heights. Ramabai went on to say that the term "impossible" does not exist in her dictionary.
When asked about her mission, Ramabai remarked that she adores being called "Bharat ki Beti" who is on her journey, a solo bike ride through 12 G20 countries plus 30 other countries, a total of roughly 40 countries across six continents." Ramila Latpate, an entrepreneur and pilot, said her flying & map-reading skills assisted her in determining the route while keeping unfavorable weather circumstances in mind.

Her amazing itinerary:
Ramila Latpate started her solo global tour on a bike from Mumbai's Gateway Of India on March 8, 2023, International Women's Day. Ramabai's superbike will be transported to Australia after biking from Mumbai to Delhi. The distance between Perth and Sydney is approximately 1,600 kilometers. There are no appropriate human dwellings and no cell connectivity along this 1,600-kilometer span. During this voyage, Ramila Latpate will be alone, and she may have to stop in the wilderness and live in a tent by herself.
From Australia to beautiful Auckland in New Zealand, then, Wellington, Napier, to Chile Santiago, to Colombia - Bogota, to San Diego CA in the USA, to Vancouver in Canada, to New York in the USA, and then by sea route to London, United Kingdom, and from London to Warsaw in Poland, then to Rome in Italy, then from Italy to Paris in France, to Madrid in Spain, to Lisbon in Portugal, to Marrakech in Morocco, to Tunisia, and to Petra in Jordan by sea route, to Riyadh after Tunisia.
By bike to Saudi Arabia, then by bike to Muscat, Oman, and then by bike to Dubai, UAE, and finally by water route to Jamnagar, Gujarat. On March 8, 2024, Ramabai will ride her superbike back to the Gateway of India in Mumbai.

Total money she will be spending:
When asked about the cost of this 365-day solo bike ride, Ramila Latpate that it is likely to exceed a crore. She stated that she had previously spent all of her savings and had sold her Car and gold jewellery to cover the initial outlay. Ramabai has requested Rs 1 per person in crowdfunding as the overall expenditure is expected to exceed Rs 1 crore.
She has engaged elected officials as well as corporate communities in this regard. Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and State Minister Girish Mahajan both congratulated Ramabai on her exceptional solo bike ride and presented her with one rupee each.
