The government of Uttar Pradesh has announced that women will be given free bus travel on Raksha Bandhan 2022 from 10th August 2022 (midnight) to 12th August 2022 (midnight).
Today morning the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath break this good news on Twitter saying " In Uttar Pradesh, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan all mothers, sisters, and daughters of the state will be provided free bus service in government buses for 48 hours starting from today midnight to 12th August midnight".
Just a minute after tweeting the above, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath again tweeted and announced " very soon, Uttar Pradesh government will be arranging free government bus services for mothers and sisters who are above 60 years of age."
In the meantime, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar too announced free bus services for women of Haryana on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan 2022.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, "Free bus travel for women on Haryana State Government as a Raksha Bandhan gift will be provided from 11th August (noon) to 11th August (midnight).
It has been seen that on July 29, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also declared free travel to women and girls in Rajasthan transport buses on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu annual festival celebrated between brothers and sisters to nourish their relationship and to take a pledge of protecting each other. It has been seen that India Celebrates this festival with joy and excitement every year.
