The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a latest weather alert for Delhi for the next seven days. According to the latest forecast, people in the city are likely to get some relief from the severe heat due to the possibility of rainfall and thunderstorms during this period.

Rain Alert in Delhi
The IMD said strong winds with speeds of 50-60 kmph may occur along with rain and thunderstorms. Cloudy weather is also expected in the coming days, which may help reduce temperatures slightly.
According to the forecast for Delhi, an orange alert for heatwave conditions has been issued from Sunday to Thursday. Despite the heatwave warning, there is a high chance of thunderstorms and rainfall on Friday. Cloudy skies are also likely on Saturday and Sunday.
During this period, winds may blow at speeds of 40-50 kmph in many areas of the city. The changing weather conditions are expected to bring temporary relief from the intense summer heat.
Delhi Weather Forecast for 25 May
On May 25, Delhi's maximum temperature is expected to reach around 43 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may stay close to 29 degrees Celsius. Even though temperatures will remain high, rainfall and cloudy weather may help improve conditions slightly in the national capital over the next few days.
Other Regions to Face Severe Heatwave Conditions
The weather department has also issued alerts for hilly regions, while central India is expected to face severe heatwave conditions over the next week. Officials said a cyclonic circulation is developing in the lower levels of the atmosphere from Punjab to southwest Rajasthan. Another upper-air cyclonic circulation is present over south Bihar and nearby areas, which is also affecting weather conditions.
