Qatar has updated its travel regulations for foreigners in two significant ways. According to the state's interior ministry, Hayya Cards will now be valid until 24th January 2024. Also, a free multiple-entry permit to Qatar and access to the e-gate system at state ports are now available to those who got a Hayya Card for the FIFA World Cup that happened in 2022, Qatar.
To use the capabilities of the aforementioned card, travelers will need to satisfy a number of requirements. These include having a passport that is valid for at least three months after they arrive in Qatar, as well as documentation of a hotel reservation or permitted housing with relatives or friends.
Additionally, they must have a ticket home that is valid by all means as well as proof of international travel insurance that covers their whole stay. All travelers to Qatar are now required to have health insurance, according to Qatari authorities, effective at the beginning of this month.

With the new modifications, those who own a Hayya Card and want to visit Qatar will now be able to use the so-called "Hayya with Me" feature, which enables cardholders to invite up to 3 family members or even friends.
Additionally, it allows for free access to the e-Gate system for both entries and exits through state ports as well as multiple-entry permission to the state. The Ministry made clear in this regard that the aforementioned terms apply to owners of all Hayya Card varieties used for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The majority of Hayya Card holders departed the country when their initial validity expired on January 23 of this year, prompting the statement. The recent amendments, however, indicate that the owners of this card are permitted entry into this nation if the conditions are satisfied.

The announcement coincides with an upgrade to the country's entry criteria made by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), which would make health insurance a requirement for all visitors to Qatar starting on February 1st, 2023.
Visitors must now acquire the Mandatory Visitors' Health Insurance insurance from one of the authorized Qatari providers on the government website, which costs QAR 50 and is valid for 30 days, in order to enter Qatar.
