Passengers travelling through Katraj will need to use different PMPML boarding points from Wednesday, May 20, due to construction work on a new MahaMetro station starting near the Katraj Police Chowk bus stop.

Shifting of Pune Bus Services Operations Due to Pune Metro Construction Work
In a statement released on Monday, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited said that several bus services operating from Katraj Police Chowk will be shifted to temporary locations to allow metro construction work to continue smoothly. These arrangements will remain until further notice.
According to the new traffic and transport plan, buses on routes 2, 2A, 11K, 24, 24A, 90, 103, 235, 236, 301, 301A, K11, K12, K13, K14, K18, and Ratrani routes 1 and 2 will now operate from the open area located below the bridge on Katraj Bypass Road.
At the same time, buses on routes 42, 298, 299, and 339 will continue to start from the Gujarwadi bus stand. These buses will pick up passengers from a temporary stop located under the bridge near Katraj Chowk. Routes 43, 43A, 44, 45, 214, and 228 will run through the Katraj Bypass service road.
Confusion Among Passengers
Many passengers are expected to face some confusion during the first few days of the changes. Daily commuter Amit Jadhav, who regularly travels between Katraj and Swargate, said that morning travellers, especially students and senior citizens, may face difficulties at first. He suggested that PMPML should place proper signboards and deploy staff members at important locations near the junction to guide passengers during the transition period.
Advisory for Passengers
PMPML has requested passengers to cooperate with transport authorities during the period of metro construction. Officials said the changes may affect thousands of daily commuters because Katraj is one of the busiest transport junctions in south Pune and nearby suburban areas.
