In a major boost to the connectivity of the tribal belt of Jharkhand and Odisha, Indian Railways is all set to roll out three new trains. These trains are expected to be flagged off by the President Droupadi Murmu during her visit to Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
The three new train services include Badampahar-Tatanagar MEMU, Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express, and Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express. The President of India will also embark on a journey from Badampahar to Rairangpur on the Badampahar-Shalimar Express.

Overview of Shalimar-Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express
The 18049 Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express is scheduled to depart from Shalimar every Saturday at 23:05 hrs and will arrive at Badampahar at 05:40 hrs the following day. The return journey, 18050 Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express will depart from Badampahar every Sunday at 21:30 hrs and will reach Shalimar at 05:00 hrs the next day.

Details of Badampahar-Rourkela-Badampahar Weekly Express
The 18051 Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express is slated to leave Badampahar every Sunday at 06:10 hrs and reach Rourkela at 11:40 hrs the same day. The return, 18052 Rourkela-Badampahar Weekly Express will depart from Rourkela every Sunday at 14:20 hrs and will arrive at Badampahar at 19:25 hrs the same day. This express train will establish a direct connection between mineral-rich areas of Badampahar and Rourkela, known as the Steel City of India.

The launch of these new trains is a significant step taken by Indian Railways towards improving the connectivity in the tribal belt of Jharkhand and Odisha. It will not only boost the local economy, but it will also provide an easy and comfortable travel option for the locals, students and professionals alike to various parts of the country.
