A Monumental Cricket Stadium
The proposed International Cricket Stadium, slated to be constructed in Ganjari, Rajatalab, Varanasi, is an architectural marvel inspired by the essence of Lord Shiva. Its design incorporates crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped floodlights, ghat-style steps for seating, and Bilvipatra-shaped metallic sheets on the facade. This iconic stadium, spanning over 30 acres and with an estimated cost of approximately ₹450 crores, will possess a spectator capacity of 30,000.
However, this stadium is not merely a testament to sporting excellence; it signifies a major stride in fostering Varanasi's cultural and sporting heritage. Alongside cricket, the stadium will offer facilities for other sports like hockey, football, basketball, and athletics. Furthermore, it will house a sports academy, a sports museum, a convention centre, and a sprawling parking space accommodating up to 4,000 vehicles.
The inauguration of this monumental stadium is expected to significantly bolster Varanasi's sports infrastructure and tourism appeal. Known for its rich cultural and religious heritage, the city will now shine as a hub for sporting events, offering local talents opportunities to exhibit their prowess on national and international stages.

Revolutionizing Education: Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya
In addition to the cricket stadium, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya (Atal Residential Schools) situated across Uttar Pradesh during this visit. These schools, constructed at a cost of around ₹1,115 crores, are exclusively dedicated to the children of laborers, construction workers, and orphans affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. They are envisioned as centers for imparting quality education while nurturing the holistic development of these children.
Each Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya is spread over 10-15 acres and boasts state-of-the-art amenities, including classrooms, sports grounds, recreational areas, a mini auditorium, hostel complexes, mess facilities, and residential flats for staff. These residential schools are designed to eventually house up to 1,000 students each.
Celebrating Culture: Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav
Furthermore, the Prime Minister's commitment to preserving and enhancing Kashi's cultural vibrancy has led to the conceptualization of the Kashi Sansad Sanskritik Mahotsav. This grand celebration of culture, held at the Rudraksh International Cooperation and Convention Centre, saw participation from more than 37,000 individuals across 17 disciplines. These talented individuals showcased their skills in singing, instrumental music, nukkad natak (street plays), dance, and more. Meritorious participants will have the opportunity to present their cultural talents during the upcoming programme at the Convention Centre.
