on this busy route. On Saturday, the first day of service, over 700 passengers travelled on the train. The response was even higher on Sunday, when more than 900 passengers used the special service.

Official's Statement

Officials said the smooth running of the reserved special train has helped provide a dependable and comfortable travel option for devotees visiting the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, as well as other passengers. The train also helped reduce travel time and eased pressure on regular services during the peak period.

Indian Railways' Effective Planning

Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Jammu Division, said the strong response from travellers and the trouble-free operation of the train show the railways' effective planning and management. He added that the successful service reflects the dedication and hard work of railway staff, who ensured passengers faced no major inconvenience during the journey.

Moreover, the railways also carried out a special inspection drive at Jammu Railway Station on Saturday. The drive was conducted by a Magistrate along with ticket-checking staff to make sure passengers followed railway rules and to improve overall convenience.

During the inspection, trains running in both directions were checked. Officials reported that 50 cases were registered during the drive. These included instances of travelling without tickets, illegal vending, and littering on station premises. As a result, fines totaling Rs 25,000 were imposed by the Magistrate.

Railway authorities stated that such measures help maintain discipline, cleanliness, and safety at stations while ensuring a better travel experience for passengers.
