Indian Railways is set to make travel faster and more convenient in Rajasthan with the launch of two new Vande Bharat Express trains. These semi-high-speed trains, planned by the North Western Railway, will run on the Bikaner-Delhi and Jaipur-Jodhpur routes. This initiative will improve transportation in the state, offering passengers a smoother and more efficient journey.
These new trains will reduce travel time, improve connectivity, and enhance the overall travel experience. Discussions are also ongoing about extending the Jaipur-Jodhpur train to Delhi, which would further strengthen the railway network between these major cities.
Faster Travel on Key Routes
One of the biggest advantages of these new trains is the reduction in travel time. The Bikaner-Delhi Vande Bharat Express will cut the journey time by 1.5 hours, making the trip just 6 hours and 20 minutes long. This is a great improvement for passengers who frequently travel between these cities.
The planned schedule for the Bikaner-Delhi route is:
- Departure from Bikaner at 5:55 AM, arriving in Delhi at 12:15 PM.
- Return journey from Delhi at 4:30 PM, reaching Bikaner at 10:50 PM.
The exact schedule for the Jaipur-Jodhpur route is still being decided, but there is a possibility of extending it to Delhi, making travel even more convenient.
Expanding Rajasthan's Railway Network
These new Vande Bharat Express trains are part of Indian Railways' plan to improve connectivity and make train journeys faster and more comfortable. Rajasthan already has several Vande Bharat services, including:
- Jaipur-Udaipur-Jaipur
- Ajmer-Delhi-Ajmer (via Jaipur)
- Bhagat Ki Kothi-Sabarmati
- Udaipur-Agra Cantt
With the addition of the Bikaner-Delhi and Jaipur-Jodhpur routes, more passengers will be able to enjoy the speed and comfort of Vande Bharat Express trains.
Awaiting Final Approval
While the proposal for these trains is strong, final approval from the Ministry of Railways is still pending. Once approved, the trains will be officially launched, marking a new milestone in Rajasthan's railway development.
