New Vande Bharat From Lucknow to Link with Jammu, Jaipur, and Bhopal Soon

Lucknow is set to receive a major boost in rail connectivity as plans are in place to introduce Vande Bharat trains linking the city to Jammu, Jaipur, and Bhopal. This initiative will greatly benefit around 3,200 passengers daily, making travel faster and more comfortable.

New Vande Bharat From Lucknow

The Northern and Northeast Railway sectors are leading these developments, working on important infrastructure improvements to support the new services. With repairs underway on the Ganga Bridge on the Kanpur route after 29 years and speed enhancements on the Gorakhpur route, train travel in the region is set to improve significantly.

New Vande Bharat Routes from Lucknow

The plan includes launching Vande Bharat services from Charbagh Railway Station to Jammu and from Gomtinagar Station to Bhopal and Jaipur. The Railway Board's approval is still awaited for the Gomtinagar-Bhopal route, but Northeast Railway DRM Gaurav Agarwal expects all three routes to be operational within three months. Once active, these routes will provide faster, more efficient travel options, improving connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.

Infrastructure Enhancements and Speed Improvements

The authorities are also focusing on improving railway infrastructure to ensure smoother operations. One of the major projects includes repairing the Ganga Bridge on the Kanpur route, which has not undergone maintenance for 29 years. Additionally, train speeds on the Gorakhpur route will be increased from 80-100 km/h to 130 km/h, reducing travel time and enhancing safety. These developments will make railway travel more reliable and efficient.

Temporary Train Cancellations and Diversions

As part of these upgrades, work on automatic block signaling in the Gorakhpur railway section of the Northeast Railway Lucknow Division will cause temporary disruptions. On March 29 and 30, the following trains will be canceled:
- Train number 15031/32 (Lucknow Junction-Gorakhpur-Lucknow Express)
- Train number 65115/16 (Bhatni-Ayodhya Dham Junction)

Additionally, several trains will be diverted on March 28, including:

- 14674 Amritsar-Jaynagar Express
- 14692 Jammu Tawi-Barauni Express

Passengers are advised to check train schedules in advance to avoid inconvenience.

The introduction of Vande Bharat trains and ongoing infrastructure improvements mark a significant step towards modernizing India's railway network. These efforts will make train travel more efficient, comfortable, and reliable for thousands of daily commuters. With the expected launch of the new routes within three months, excitement is building among passengers looking forward to a faster and better travel experience.
