New Road Project to Cut Travel Time Between Noida and Greater Noida

A major road project is underway to improve travel between Noida and Greater Noida. The construction of an approach road to the Haranandi Bridge will significantly reduce travel time from LG Chowk in Greater Noida to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Previously, commuters had to take a longer route of 16 kilometers, but with this new road, the journey will take just five minutes. The project, which began on February 8, is expected to be completed by August.

The new link road will be 2,090 meters long and 60 meters wide, connecting LG Chowk to the expressway. A key part of this project is the construction of a bridge over Haranandi by the Setu Corporation. This project is a joint effort between the Noida and Greater Noida authorities. Out of the total 1,070 meters of the approach road, 623 meters are being developed together by both authorities. This is a significant step in improving infrastructure in the area.

Investment and Key Features

The total cost of the project is Rs 147 crore, with Rs 62 crore allocated for the bridge construction alone. The bridge itself will be 210 meters long. The project received a major push when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated it on January 25, 2019. His support for this project highlights the government's focus on improving road networks and reducing travel time for the people living in and around Noida and Greater Noida.

Benefits for Travelers

Once completed, this new road will be a great relief for commuters. It will remove the need to take a longer route, making travel between Noida and Greater Noida much easier. Those traveling from Delhi and Noida through the expressway to places like Pari Chowk, LG Chowk, Collectorate, and Surajpur will experience faster and smoother journeys. The approach road is also designed with varying heights, ranging from 5.50 meters to 8.50 meters, ensuring better accessibility for vehicles.

The Noida-Greater Noida connectivity project is an important step in improving infrastructure in the region. When completed, it will not only make travel between these two cities easier and faster but also support growth and development in the area. This project is a perfect example of how better roads can improve daily life, making transportation more convenient for everyone.
