The Railway Board has approved a new MEMU train service between Yelahanka and Arsikere, which will start operating from July 14. The new service is expected to improve connectivity and provide a convenient travel option for passengers travelling between Bengaluru and parts of Tumakuru and Hassan districts.

MEMU Train between Yelahanka & Arsikere
Train number 66505 Yelahanka-Arsikere MEMU will leave Yelahanka at 6:45 am and reach Arsikere at 11:00 am. In the return journey, train number 66506 Arsikere-Yelahanka MEMU will depart from Arsikere at 2:10 pm and arrive at Yelahanka at 7:15 pm. The train will have eight MEMU coaches and will operate six days a week, except Sundays.
Major Stoppages
The train will stop at several stations along the route, including Kodigehalli, Yeshwantpur, Chikkabanavar, Gollahalli, Bhairanayakanahalli, Dodbele, Muddalinganahalli, Nidvanda, Dobbspet, Hirehalli, Kyatsandra, Tumakuru, Heggere Halt, Mallasandra, Gubbi, Nittur, Sampige Road, Ammasandra, Banasandra, Aralaguppe, Kardi, Banashankari Halt, Tiptur, Shri Sharada Nagar, Honnavalli Road and Adihalli.
Moreover, an inaugural special train service will be operated on Monday ahead of the regular operations.
South Western Railway stated the new MEMU service will offer an affordable, comfortable, and reliable mode of transport for daily commuters and other passengers travelling between Yelahanka, Yeshwantpur, Tumakuru, Tiptur, and Arsikere. The service will also benefit people travelling from smaller stations along the route by providing better rail connectivity.
