Mumbai commuters travelling late on Friday night and early Saturday morning may face train disruptions, as Western Railway will conduct a major maintenance block at Dadar railway station. The work will take place on the slow up and down suburban lines from midnight to 5 am on May 15 and

16, 2026. Railway officials said the maintenance work is important for improving infrastructure and ensuring passenger safety.
Mumbai Trains Disruption
During the block period, slow local trains will be diverted to the fast lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim railway station. Because of this diversion, these trains will not stop at Mahalaxmi railway station, Lower Parel railway station, Prabhadevi railway station, or Matunga Road railway station.
Suburban Trains to be Affected
Western Railway also announced that several suburban train services will either be cancelled, short-terminated, or short-originated during the maintenance hours. Some late-night trains cancelled on May 15 include services from Churchgate to Bhayandar, Goregaon, Andheri, and Borivali. Early morning trains on May 16, including services between Borivali and Bhayandar, Churchgate and Borivali, and Dahanu Road and Virar, will also remain cancelled. In the up direction, trains from Goregaon, Borivali, and Andheri towards Churchgate will also not run during the block period.
Advisory for Commuters
Railway authorities have advised passengers to check train timings and schedules before starting their journey. Detailed information about affected trains has been made available at station managers' and station masters' offices across the suburban railway network. Western Railway apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers and requested commuters to cooperate as the engineering work is necessary for safer and smoother train operations.
